1. About these terms
These terms apply to bhardwajastrology.com and to the consultations, courses and books offered through it by Acharya Ashutosh Bhardwaj ("we", "us"). By using the website, booking a consultation or signing in to a course, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Astrology disclaimer
Astrology is not a science. It is a traditional system of interpretation. Readings, predictions, remedies, muhurats, match-making and course material are offered as guidance and for personal interest only.
- We do not guarantee that any prediction, reading or remedy will be accurate or will come true.
- We are not responsible for any prediction turning out wrong, or for any decision you make, or do not make, based on a reading, consultation, course or book.
- Nothing we provide is a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial or other advice. Always consult a qualified professional for those matters, and in an emergency contact the relevant services.
- You are solely responsible for your own choices and their outcomes.
3. Consultations & payments
- Consultations are booked and paid for through Razorpay. Payments are processed by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not see or store your card or bank details.
- Please provide accurate birth details and any information asked for (for example photographs of both palms for palmistry). Readings depend on the information you give.
- For questions about rescheduling, cancellations or refunds, contact us before your consultation using the details in section 10.
- Books are sold through Amazon and are subject to Amazon's terms.
4. Courses & student accounts
- Each student account is for one person only. Do not share your email, password or access with anyone.
- Only one device can be signed in at a time. Signing in elsewhere is refused while your account is in use; after 15 minutes without activity, a new sign-in takes over and the other device is signed out.
- An account used on more than 2 devices, or from more than 1 city, is blocked automatically to protect against sharing. Contact us if this happens and we will review it; we may unblock the account.
- We may suspend or block any account we reasonably believe is being shared or misused.
- We record how far you have watched each class so you can pick up where you left off, and so we can see course progress.
5. Location & device data
When a student signs in, we record the following to protect accounts from sharing and to keep them secure:
- the date and time of each sign-in or sign-in attempt, and whether it succeeded;
- your IP address and the approximate city, state and country it belongs to;
- the type of device and browser you use (for example "Chrome on Android"), and a random device identifier stored in a cookie on that browser.
Location is worked out from your IP address using the DB-IP database. It is approximate: mobile networks often appear as the operator's nearest hub city. We do not use GPS or ask your device for its precise location.
This information is used only to enforce the account rules in section 4, to investigate suspected sharing, and to respond if a block is questioned. It is visible only to our administrators, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is kept for as long as your account is active. You may ask us to see or delete it using the details in section 10; deleting it may mean we can no longer provide course access.
6. Other personal data
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number and message are stored so we can reply.
- Student accounts: your name, email, the courses you can access and your viewing progress.
- We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, or withdraw consent, by contacting us.
8. Course content
Course videos and materials are for your personal learning only. You may not record, download, copy, share, resell or publish them in any form without our written permission.
To protect them, course videos show your email address and the date as a watermark. Any recording or copy that appears elsewhere can be traced back to the account it came from, and may lead to the account being blocked and further action.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website, consultations, courses or books, or from reliance on any reading or prediction. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service concerned. These terms are governed by the laws of India. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
