1. About these terms

These terms apply to bhardwajastrology.com and to the consultations, courses and books offered through it by Acharya Ashutosh Bhardwaj ("we", "us"). By using the website, booking a consultation or signing in to a course, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Astrology disclaimer

• We do not guarantee that any prediction, reading or remedy will be accurate or will come true.
• We are not responsible for any prediction turning out wrong, or for any decision you make, or do not make, based on a reading, consultation, course or book.
• You are solely responsible for your own choices and their outcomes.

Our commitments

Astrology touches people at hopeful and vulnerable moments. These are the lines we hold to in every consultation, course and book:

• Guidance, never fear. We will never use fear to sell a remedy, puja, gemstone or further consultation. Any remedy we suggest is optional, and you are free to decline it.
• No predictions of death, lifespan or serious illness. We do not make them, and questions about health belong with a doctor.
• No predicting the sex of an unborn child. We will not predict or advise on it, in keeping with the spirit of India’s PCPNDT Act and to avoid harm from sex selection.
• Match-making, honestly. We are honest about what we see in the charts. We offer guidance, not judgement: the decision always rests with the family, and we never use a dosha to frighten anyone into or out of a marriage.
• Care for those under 18. We consult with children and teenagers only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
• Honesty about limits. We do not promise outcomes, and we will tell you when a question is better taken to a doctor, counsellor, lawyer or financial adviser.

3. Consultations & payments

• Consultations are booked on this website and paid for through Razorpay. Payments are processed by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not see or store your card or bank details.
• Appointments: after paying, you choose a time for your consultation, between 9 am and 9 pm India time (shown in your own time zone). At that time, please call Ashutosh Ji on +91 7004121708, on WhatsApp if you are outside India. If you don’t have WhatsApp, let us know in advance and we will set up a Zoom meeting. We email you a confirmation when you book and a reminder on the day.
• Please provide accurate birth details and any information asked for (for example photographs of both palms for palmistry). Readings depend on the information you give.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the consultation and book it for you. We may ask to speak with them first.
• Books are sold through Amazon and are subject to Amazon's terms, including its returns policy.

Rescheduling, cancellations and refunds

• Rescheduling: contact us at least 24 hours before your consultation and we will move it to another time free of charge.
• Cancelling at least 24 hours before: you will receive a full refund.
• Cancelling less than 24 hours before, or missing the consultation: the fee is not refunded, and rescheduling is not guaranteed. We may offer another time at our discretion.
• If we cancel or cannot provide the service, you will receive a full refund, or a new time if you prefer.
• Written answers and Vastu: One Question (Prashna) answers and Vastu analyses cannot be refunded once work on them has begun.
• Courses: full refund if you cancel before a live course begins, or before you have watched any class of a recorded course.
• To ask for a refund, contact us using the details in section 10. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Razorpay within 7 working days; your bank may take a few more days to show it.

4. Courses & student accounts

• Each student account is for one person only. Do not share your email, password or access with anyone.
• Courses are for adults, or for students under 18 with a parent or guardian’s consent.
• Only one device can be signed in at a time. Signing in elsewhere is refused while your account is in use; after 15 minutes without activity, a new sign-in takes over and the other device is signed out.
• An account used on more than 2 devices, or from more than 1 city, is blocked automatically to protect against sharing. Contact us if this happens and we will review it; we may unblock the account.
• We may suspend or block any account we reasonably believe is being shared or misused.
• We record how far you have watched each class so you can pick up where you left off, and so we can see course progress.

5. Location & device data

When a student signs in, we record the following to protect accounts from sharing and to keep them secure:

• the date and time of each sign-in or sign-in attempt, and whether it succeeded;
• your IP address and the approximate city, state and country it belongs to;
• the type of device and browser you use (for example "Chrome on Android"), and a random device identifier stored in a cookie on that browser.

Location is worked out from your IP address using the DB-IP database. It is approximate: mobile networks often appear as the operator's nearest hub city. For sign-ins we do not use GPS or ask your device for its precise location.

This information is used only to enforce the account rules in section 4, to investigate suspected sharing, and to respond if a block is questioned. It is visible only to our administrators and is not sold or shared with third parties.

How long we keep it: each sign-in record, with its IP address and location, is deleted automatically 2 years after the sign-in, and a device is forgotten once it has not been used for 2 years. You may ask us to see or delete this information sooner using the details in section 10; deleting it may mean we can no longer provide course access.

6. Other personal data

• Contact form: your name, email, phone number and message are stored and emailed to our team so we can reply. They are deleted from our website automatically after 12 months.
• Enrolment requests: your name, phone number, email and chosen course are stored and sent to our team so we can contact you about the course. We email you one confirmation that your request was received. Requests are deleted from our website automatically after 12 months.
• Student accounts: your name, email, the courses you can access and your viewing progress, kept while your account exists.
• Consultation bookings: your name, email, phone number and preferred language, and what the consultation needs: birth details of the people it concerns, your questions, and for palmistry, photos of your hands. These are used only to prepare and give your consultation, are emailed to our team, and are seen only by Ashutosh Ji and our team. Hand photos are stored privately and are never published. If you include other people’s details, please make sure they have agreed.
  • Only paid bookings are kept. If you cancel before paying, everything you entered is deleted at once; if you leave without paying, it is deleted automatically within an hour, and our team never receives it.
  • Birth details, questions and photos are deleted from our website automatically 12 months after booking.
  • A record of the booking itself (name, contact details, consultation, amount and payment reference) is kept for 8 years for our accounts, then deleted automatically.
• Your chart and Today’s sky: birth details typed into “Discover your chart” (date, time and place) are worked out in your browser and never sent to us; the list of places is downloaded to your browser and searched there. Place data comes from GeoNames (geonames.org), under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. To show sunrise, sunset and hora for your area, the website looks up your approximate location from your IP address; this is not stored. “Use my exact location” asks your browser for permission, and the result is used on the page only.
• Backups: our website’s backups, which contain copies of this information, are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
• Emails: messages, enrolments and paid bookings are also emailed to our team. Those emails are looked after by our team and deleted under our mailbox’s own deletion policy.
• We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, or withdraw consent, by contacting us.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work and are always on. Optional cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings.

Your browser also remembers two display choices on this device, in its local storage rather than as cookies: light or dark mode, and whether the birth chart shows mean or true Rahu and Ketu. They are never sent to us, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

Fonts and icons are loaded from Google Fonts and cdnjs. They do not set cookies, but your browser's IP address is sent to those services to download the files.

8. Course content

Course videos and materials are for your personal learning only. You may not record, download, copy, share, resell or publish them in any form without our written permission.

To protect them, course videos carry visible and hidden watermarks unique to your account, including your email address and the date. Any recording or copy that appears elsewhere can be traced back to the account it came from, and may lead to the account being blocked and further action.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website, consultations, courses or books, or from reliance on any reading or prediction. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service concerned. These terms are governed by the laws of India. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
